TGIF: Book Moments {4}
this week on so obsessed with:
TGIF is a weekly feature created and hosted by GReads! that re-caps the week's posts and has a different question each week.
This week's question - Book Moments: What has been your favorite moment (scene) in a book that you've read so far in 2012?
I didn't have to think too hard about this question. I immediately knew the answer, but I couldn't narrow it down to just one. Here are my top three favorite moments, based on my emotional response:
For the LOL factor, I couldn't stop laughing during the scene in Stay where Savannah drinks a few too many Kool-Aid cocktails while watching a Rin Tin Tin marathon. The result? She orders a (not so small) German Shepherd puppy from Slovakia. The entire scene was pitch perfect and hilarious. I couldn't stop giggling and reading parts aloud to my husband!
For the sweetness factor, I sighed over the moment in The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight where the narrator explores how books have played a role in Hadley and her father's relationship. This is the line that made my heart swell: "He was a professor, a lover of stories, and he was building her a library in the same way other men might build their daughters houses."
For the cryfest factor, I held back tears while reading the epilogue in Unbroken. I don't even have the words to describe how much I loved the ending of the book. Well, the entire book really. So amazing!
I LOVE THAT LINE from Statistical Probability!! Awesome, awesome picks! :)

Isn't that line just the best? I also loved reading about how she and her father read together, but it was that line that made me LOVE the book.
DeleteI like the moment that you chose from Statistical Probability. It's a line that would definitely strike a chord with me too :)
ReplyDeleteI loved the whole book - but that moment was definitely one of my favorites. I'd highly recommend it if you haven't already read it :) Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
DeleteBuys a dog! That is LOL funny!
ReplyDeleteYes, it was definitely LOL funny! I loved the witty and slightly sarcastic way Allie Larkin writes, and that scene was one of the best examples of it. Read STAY if you haven't already!! Thanks for commenting :)
