Am I Collecting Copies?
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. Every week they post a new topic/top ten list and invite everyone to share their own answers. I'm so obsessed with lists - so it makes perfect sense that I'd love this feature!
Top Ten Authors I Own the Most Books From
A few weeks ago, I confessed to the fact that "I own multiple copies of many of my favorite books." You probably thought that I meant maybe one or two authors with multiple copies of their books. You're about to see that my problem is so much worse...
I've listed the author, the number of books I own by them and the breakdown by format (physical, Kindle, audiobook). If you're curious, I've also listed each individual book, linked to it on Goodreads and noted if I own more than one copy of it. All you see pictured are the physical copies, obviously.

I've got Jane Austen and J.K. Rowling on my list too! I loved this week's topic!
ReplyDeleteOh wow. That is an impressive book collection. I have J.K Rowling on my list this week too, like many others.
ReplyDeleteHaha, wow, very impressive! I wish I could buy more copies of one book, but there is something in me that refuses it because 'why buy another one if you can buy something new?' The only thing I ow double is HP, but that's only because I had the Dutch version and I really wanted to read it in English too. Your collections look great though :D

I love your list, that's hysterical. I find myself picking up multiple copies of books with pretty covers these days - I discovered I had two copies of a Lia Habel book a couple of weeks ago, but because we're planning to move, I passed the copy on. There were a lot of authors on your list that I haven't read before, so looks like I have a few things to add to my "must acquire" list ;)

ReplyDeleteMultiple copies aren't my thing, but sometimes I feel myself swayed by new editions with really artistic covers. =)
L.M. Montgomery may have won this numbers game, but I think Robin Jones Gunn is a little prouder to have such a high total without any titles doubling up. ;-) LOL!
Wow. That is intimidating, and impressive and swoon-worthy all at the same time. I feel like I should take a bow in front of your shelves or something! Major collector! R x

Great list! Love the photos that accompany your list this week, they're so pretty and organised :) J.K. Rowling and Jane Austen made my list this week (well, Rowling was a late addition as I totally forgot I owned a set of HP xD)

Great list! I like that you accompanied it with photos. I didn't think to add my ebooks or audiobooks. That would've made some of my numbers higher, lol.

J.K. Rowling topped my list at 7 haha, I can't even imagine having 45 books by the same author! And I used to own a lot of the Nancy Drews!
ReplyDeleteI am literally amazed that you have 45 books by the same author, and even more by the fact that you have 18 copies of Pride and Prejudice! Very impressive collection you've got! The most books I own by one author is 20 (13 physical, 7 PDFs) by J.K. Rowling! :)
ReplyDeleteYou just became so much more awesome in my eyes. <3 Love this
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw your collection of LM Montgomery & Jane Austen books, I was like O_O because that is a TON of books! But somehow, I'm also not surprised, as I know you love these two authors so, so much :)
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous that you still have your Christy Miller books! I used to own the whole series, but I donated it while cleaning several years ago. I wish I still had them!
ReplyDeleteI love your photos! I try really hard not to collect multiples, but boy is it tempting when pretty new covers get published, especially for classics! I definitely have hardcovers and paperbacks of Harry Potter as well as the standard and collector's edition of Tales of Beedle the Bard though :)
ReplyDeleteHannah! You are insane! I've never seen so many books from one author, especially from LM Montgomery! I adore your love and passion for collecting multiple copies of the same book though :)
ReplyDeleteI am very much impressed by how many copies you collect haha. That's quite an achievement. I really like the pretty collector's covers of so many classics, but I haven't actually acted upon my feelings and purchased them just yet. But they are so pretty that I just may have to!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely most jealous about your Jane Austen collection, though I love your Melina Marchetta collection as well!
