Read It AGAIN?!
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. Every week they post a new topic/top ten list and invite everyone to share their own answers. I'm so obsessed with lists - so it makes perfect sense that I'd love this feature!
This week's topic is "Rewind," which means that bloggers get to choose any past Top Ten Tuesday topic. I read through the list and laughed at what jumped out at me… because it's exactly what I chose to do last time we got to choose an old topic. But I did the topic a little bit differently when I first wrote it, so I'm going to do it again today. Also, I adore re-reading so I couldn't limit myself to just ten.

That's quite the list! Let's see . . . Of all these books I've read The Help and Fangirl. Both amazing books that I would love to reread as well! I do have A LOT of these books on my TBR list though: All the Truth That's In Me, Grave Mercy, Crown of Midnight - just to name a few. Now I'm more excited to check them out! :)
ReplyDeleteMy TTT!
Oh I'm so excited for you to read those - and to hear that you love the other two!
DeleteI shy away from Contemporary/Realistic Fiction but I'm really trying to get familiar with the genre because so many people have recommended me some, looks like, awesome books. I see that you have Melina Marchetta's books up there and I know that when I do go to read a Contemporary fiction book, hers will be first up. Same with Rainbow Rowell's books.

Thanks for sharing ♥ xoxo
Melina Marchetta is AMAZING. I'm totally obsessed with her. Rainbow, too. You have so much bookish goodness ahead of you!
DeleteYES on Grave Mercy, The Girl Who Chased the Moon, Attachments, and Nowhere But Home.
ReplyDeleteGlad you recognize their greatness ;)
DeleteI could totally re-read all of Sarah Addison Allen's books too. <3 LOVED Attachments, but read that recently but I could see myself re-reading that one too. I'm not sure about Me Before You. That book broke my heart. I'm still trying to collect the pieces. :) Considering I loved Attachments so much, Fangirl (and E&P) are on my TBR but haven't got to them yet. Glad to hear at least Fangirl is worth a re-read!
ReplyDeleteSarah Addison Allen is so re-readable - especially when you need a pick-me-up read. And yay Attachments! Hope you enjoy her other two books just as much :) As sad as Me Before You was, I think I want to re-read because I just loved those characters so much.
DeleteI love re-reading as well. I always find it interesting what types of books I like to re-read, too. I would also love to reread Anna and the French Kiss. I feel like I need another dose of St. Clair!! And I know I will be reading Rainbow Rowell's books many times over.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy when people say they love re-reading! It's so wonderful :) And I always find it interesting what I tend to gravitate towards when I want to re-read - such a great point!
DeleteYou always inspire me to re-read! I wish I had more time to devote to revisiting old favourites ... one day I shall endeavour to do this! And The Poisonwood Bible *happy sigh* This is a book that I HAVE re-read many times, and it gets better with each reading!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally going to read Throne of Glass this year. I promise.
Awww thanks M! That means a lot. I love re-reading - and I've found that I really love doing audiobook re-reads. So that's one suggestion/way you can try to incorporate it into your reading life!
DeleteI've only recently started re-reading books again (especially series), but I love it! It's a little harder for me to do since most of the books I own are in the library I've been accumulating in the Philippines since I was young. But I do it now and again with the books I do have here (a meager amount, really), and you've really been one of the people who reminds/inspires me to do it more often. Great selection of books up there! I've read most of the YA ones, but only a few of the adult ones -- got to remedy that!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I love re-reading series (especially before a new book in the series comes out). I'm sad that most of your books are far away :( That's a bummer and totally gets in the way of re-reading.
DeleteBut thanks for such sweet words! I'm glad I help promote re-reading <3
This is the best! I have grown to love re-reading. I did it a lot last year, and I don't think I re-read anything new this year... quite yet. But I'm mostly taking a break from review books in March to get to some books on my windowsills that I've been holding on for more than a year. (I started one today actually.) I keep thinking about re-reading Anna but with Jen Smith's new book coming out... I decided to go back and re-read her first two books. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for getting me thinking!
Yay for falling in love with re-reading! I didn't do it as much as I wanted last year, which is why it's one of the things I wanted "more" of this year. I don't like when I get too focused on new and shiny books and forget about my old favorites. I hope March is everything you want it to be reading-wise. Those little review book breaks can be so great!
DeleteAs an avid re reader I SO APPROVE of this list. Nowhere but Home, The Help, Burial Rites, and Me Before You are MUSTS to be re read. Holy crap. I adore those books.
