October 2013: On My Shelves Vlog + Recap
Sarah Hearts |
Welcome to November, y'all! I can't believe how quickly this month passed... and how many books I bought in the process. Based on the reaction to my last monthly recap, I decided to do another vlog. Thankfully, I managed to keep it under 10 minutes. Whew - I'm so shocked that some of you were willing to listen to me ramble for so long last time!
I'm really excited about some of the books I read this past month. I read 16 books total, and several of them were new favorites! After selling my old phone, I had a little extra cash and was also able to buy hard copies of some of my favorite Kindle or library reads that I was dying to add to my shelves. The blog was also pretty busy, and I've been able to get some reviews scheduled into the future. That's probably a first for me!

ReplyDeleteHahahah! You know it, litlte miss book pusher. And I bet you know about almost every book on this list. Thanks for always helping me decide what to buy :) Yay Signature and Longbourn!
DeleteI feel mega jealous of these shopping sprees you have, but I like how you are so responsible about it. ee! I have Roomies to read for next month, and I'm so excited you found another one of Liza's books for a good deal. How lucky was that? :) Hope your November is awesome. Can't wait to follow along as always. P.S. I like how you buy so many books bc of the covers. I love you! haha
ReplyDeleteHahah! It's just worked out the last few months that I've done better about saving my "shopping" money and been able to buy more books. Sometimes I end up getting more random things, but I love when I do good and get to have a book buying spree. And seriously, I was so excited to find one of Liza's books! I freaked out when I saw it.
DeleteYay November! And you're not judging my book cover love :)
Way to rock those used bookstore points!! Let me know what you think about that Liza Palmer book! I need to get around to reading another book by her. :) And yay for your sweet mom.
ReplyDeleteHeck yeah bookstore points- they are the best! And I will definitely let you know about Liza's book. Hope I love it just as much as Nowhere But Home! And yes, my mom certainly is a sweet one :)
DeleteWow, awesome haul! And you read SO many books this month :) I want to read Throne of Glass now because of your great review!! I didn't think I would enjoy it all so I didn't pay much mind but I'm going to try it now!!! I love your vlogs Hannah, I hope you keep doing them!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lauren! I really did read a lot this month. To be honest, I was surprised when I was typing out this list because I didn't feel like I'd gone through so many books. And yay to convincing you to try Throne of Glass! I'm really loving that series :) And glad you enjoy the vlogs! You'll just have to promise to tell me when you get tired of them haha!
DeleteCRESS! Oh my goodness.
ReplyDeleteYou had such a great month! Can't wait to read all the reviews etc.
oxo
OH CRESS. Girl, it's seriously so good.
DeleteAnd yes, I did have a great month! Now, if only I could catch up on all these reviews...
Hannah, you are seriously SO ADORABLE. When am I going to meet you in person? I hope it's soon!
ReplyDeleteAs for the book haul, I am SO EXCITED for you that you have Cress. I've got it too and am both excited and nervous to read it! I've also got Just One Year coming up on my reading pile, and I'm also really nervous about that one based on all the reactions. It makes me really giddy that you have Throne of Glass, Crown of Midnight, Cinder and Scarlet in your hands!
Awww I want to meet you in person, too! That would be so much fun :)
DeleteI looooved Cress! SOOOO GOOD. And I'm so happy I bought hard copies of those favorites - needed them on my shelves, for sure. Hope you enjoy Just One Year since I know it's gotten mixed reviews from bloggers. I loved it!
